Prince Edward County wedding venues are an amazing choice for planning a wedding or elopement in Ontario! My special connection to Prince Edward County started when I was a child. My family would alternate between summer vacations at Sandbanks and summer vacations at Pinery and I have so many wonderful memories!
It has been amazing to watch the County flourish over the years. When I moved out to the area 10 years ago, I discovered even more gems! I am thankful to some wonderful local friends for helping me find them. Now, it is a favourite spot of mine for fun and for work!
I have photographed some phenomenal Prince Edward County backyard weddings, museum weddings and cottage weddings. I am consistently amazed at all of the beauty and variety it has to offer! There are more wineries than you can count in Prince Edward County! Some, like Casa-Dea Estates Winery and Waupoos Winery specialize in weddings and offer complete catering services
Prince Edward County Beach Wedding
With the shores of Lake Ontario touching on many spots in the county, there are many locations that are perfect for a beach wedding. (Keep in mind the increase of tourists to the area during peak season!)

The catering is delicious and it is reasonably priced. Bonus, your guests can stay right on site! Isaiah Tubbs is also an excellent choice.

There are few one of a kind spots in Prince Edward County that might be a perfect fit for you and your partner! The Drake Devonshire and 100 Acre Wood are two amazing places that would be a perfect spot for an outdoor wedding in Prince Edward County!
Time of Year in Prince Edward County
The County is well known for its gorgeous beaches and wineries in the summer, but really, it is a beautiful place to be year round! The biggest things to keep in mind are scenery, temperature and travel. You can comfortably host an outdoor wedding in Prince Edward County from the middle of May to the middle of October, but don’t be afraid to get adventurous for a wintery wedding or elopement!
Accommodations in Prince Edward County
If you have guests coming from out of the area, there are a few options for accommodations.
- Air BnB – There are a variety of cottages and homes that are available for rent through Air BnB. If the wedding is in peak season, make sure to have your guests book early!
- Camping – Sandbanks Provincial Park is one of the most popular campsites in Ontario. It generally sells out the first day that camping registration opens, so get on this fast! There are a few other smaller campgrounds that you might be able to get into
- Hotel – The Ramada in Belleville has capacity for a larger number of guests. Often, couples will have a shuttle arrange to bring guests from the hotel to their wedding venue. There are a few other places in the county you can stay like the June Motel
