Fraser Park Wedding » Megan and Brandyn
Fraser Park Wedding in Trenton
This Fraser Park wedding took place on a beautiful sunny September afternoon. Fall is their favourite season, which is why we had Megan and Brandyn’s engagement photographs taken in the fall the year before. I absolutely loved photographing Megan and Brandyn, so it was no surprise that I had the time of my life photographing them on their wedding day. As with most weddings, there were a few hiccups along the way, but they both handled everything with style and a grain of salt!
After Megan got ready at her family home (with the help of Tinkerbell), I zipped ahead to Fraser Park to capture some of the pre-ceremony festivities. Fraser Park is a perfect spot for a Trenton outdoor wedding ceremony! The groom and groomsmen greeted the guests and led them to the bandshell area. Brandyn’s smile when he saw Megan walk down the path could have lit up a whole room! The Ted Snider Bandshell was a great spot to have a wedding ceremony in the heart of Trenton.
After the beautiful Trenton outdoor wedding ceremony, we first wanted to take advantage of the lovely outdoor space at Fraser Park for formal portraits. Before moving to our next location, we couldn’t pass up taking a few photos under the iconic arch at Fraser Park!
Megan and Brandyn had their heart set on Bain Park in Trenton for wedding photos. It was my first time there and boy, what a gorgeous spot! You would think that you were in the middle of nowhere if you didn’t know better. The light was just perfect this time of day and the setting was just stunning! My favourite image from this set is when Megan is falling into Brandyn laughing. These two are gorgeous and glamorous, but also extremely playful. I love that we were able to capture that combination in their Bain Park wedding photographs.
So Bain Park is beautiful, but it turns out there were some berries kicking around that we didn’t see. It also turns out that there were some untrimmed lilies in Megan’s bouquet that had left pollen on the limo seat. Long story short, there was some staining on Megan’s dress that I was trying so hard not to freak out about. And this is when Megan and Brandyn’s amazing personalities really shone. They let me take them to Rexall for some tide-to-go and we worked on getting the stain out. As stressful as this time was, these are some of my favourite frames of the day. They show how resilient a couple they are. I can think of 100s of couples who, of no fault of their own, could not have taken the situation as calmly as these two did. It was amazing to watch, and even more amazing that we got most of the stain out! (Until there was an accident involving red wine during the speeches… but that’s another story.)
The reception was held at a local hall in Trenton, complete with many wine-related details. I especially loved these custom wine labels on the bottles that were served with dinner. For a guestbook, Megan and Brandyn had an engagement image enlarged on a canvas for guests to sign. We took our closing photograph behind the venue with the marina lights in behind them.
if you are looking for a wonderful outdoor spot in the heart of Trenton, Fraser Park and Bain Park are two wonderful options. Megan and Brandyn planned their Fraser Park wedding day perfectly and I am so glad that I was there to capture it!
