Offbeat Toronto Engagement » Park Lawn Cemetary

I don’t get too many chances to do offbeat Toronto engagement sessions, so I was so excited to have this unconventional engagement session with Tavia and Andrew!

A bit about them – Tavia and I go waaaaaaay back. She’s the younger sister of one of my closest friends, and we she’s been hanging out with us since she was 12!!!! And when she met Andrew, she knew it would be something special. He is such a great match for her and they are a wonderful combination of adventurous, goofy and romantic. Park Lawn Cemetery probably isn’t the first place that comes to mind when thinking of a Toronto engagement session, but it made perfect sense for Tavia and Andrew. They are funeral directors (well, Tavia is the “boss”, but who’s keeping track of that ;)) that met at work.

Considering their line of work, they spent lots of time together at cemeteries across Toronto. Park Lawn Cemetery is one of the spots where they really had a chance to connect. Since it is peaceful, gorgeous and meaningful to them, it was the obvious choice for their engagement photographs. And of course, the late fall trees really made the whole area look amazing! It might seem like a quirky Toronto engagement session to some, but I think by looking at these photographs, you’ll get the same sense of tranquility that Tavia and Andrew feel in this location. With a little bit of romance thrown in, of course!

Aren’t Tavia and Andrew are two of the cutest funeral directors on the planet?!? I would love to have more adventurous offbeat Toronto engagement sessions! I am so excited for their Thanksgiving 2018 wedding!
