Hanna Park Forest Engagement » Nishka and Fred

When looking at these Hanna Park engagement photographs, you will likely notice two things:

1. Nishka and Fred absolutely love their pups! Ollie and Corky are actually the reason that these two are together. You see, Hanna Park has a dog park and that is where Nishka and Fred met! It is not very often that you hear of doggy matchmakers, but these two are obviously some of the best.
2. Spending time outside is one of their favourite past times. They love to new outdoor areas and hiking with their dogs. They are adventurous and know how to rock a glamorous session in the middle of the forest. (Pro-tip, if you love fancy shoes, bring an extra pair like Niksha did for walking in!)

So keeping these things in mind, Hanna Park was the perfect location for their engagement photographs. We started off meeting at their home to get some photographs of the four of them. With Ollie and Corky being the energetic heart of the family, we thought that this was the best spot for family photographs!

Afterwards, we went to Hanna Park for photographs of just Nishka and Fred alone. It was my first time going to Hanna Park and I was blown away at how lush and beautiful the forest was! We took photographs in June, so unfortunately the flies and mosquitoes were out in full force. Nishka and Fred handled it like champs! (I seriously don’t think I’ve seen someone been attacked by as many mosquitoes as Nishka and still have a smile on her face!)

This sunset forest engagement session was such a blast! Taking photographs is not Fred’s favourite activity, but I work hard to make sure that all of my couples have a great time, even my camera shy couples! To do that, I keep my couples moving and give them some fun prompts to feel more relaxed. Exploring a beautiful spot like Hanna Park, helps! By the smiles on their faces at the end, I think we did a pretty great job together!
