Kortright Conservation Wedding » Kira and Sean

This Kortright Conservation wedding took place at the conservation area just in the outskirts of Toronto. The Kortright Conservation Centre is an amazing centre for outdoor educational programming, and as it turns out, it is also a stunning place to have a wedding! Kira and Sean took advantage of this beautiful outdoor wedding venue for their intimate Sunday afternoon wedding. This wedding was a stunning combination of glamour, style and nature.

Kira got ready right on site at the conservation area. With no official bridal party, Kira and Sean had their children, close friends and family to help them get all the finishing touches ready. Kira may have been running a liiiiiiiitle behind, but that was quickly forgotten as she walked down the woodsy path to greet Sean at the gorgeous birch arch.

The wedding ceremony was held in the Cathedral of Trees. I mean honestly, who wouldn’t want to have a wedding in such a stunning spot!? It’s a perfect spot for nature lovers who want an outdoor wedding in Toronto. My favourite details had to be the ring bearer dropping the ring (of no fault of his own!) but it quickly being found on the path, and the rope tying ceremony that incorporated their closest friends and children. It’s moments like these that are a perfect visual representation of how weddings are a true fusion of families.

For our couples photos, we took advantage of a few beautiful hiking trails at the conservation area. We were a little nervous about the weather, but luckily the rain stayed away and we had a chance to explore the woods and evade the mosquitoes with style! These two were concerned about looking “awkward” for photographs, but I think you will agree that they are flawless! They are a great example of how prompts and focus on candid photographs really helps you feel comfortable in front of the camera!

A restaurant is often a perfect choice for an intimate wedding reception, and Kira and Sean held their wedding reception at Le Sélect Bistro in downtown Toronto. The food was delicious, the cellar was gorgeous, the outdoor patio was perfect for dancing and some of the speeches brought me to tears. It was a great ending to a beautiful wedding celebration. Congratulations, Kira and Sean!
